Medical Technology
We develop and produce innovative fiber composite high-tech solutions.
The core competence lies in the production of round and flat profiles, plates,
rods and complete components.
CG TEC Carbon und Glaserfasertechnik GmbH has been producing tubes, rods, sheets and components for more than 25 years. We are the technology leader
for round profiles made of carbon and glass fiber in Germany and Europe. Our strength lies in our wide range of services - from special one-off production to series production.

More InformationPrepreg - winding technology
This process can be used to influence both ply structure and fiber angle.
Pultrusion technology
The application range from A for antennas to c for cables and R for rods.
Plate pressing technology
Whether drilling, milling or sawing - our plates can be processed very well.
Development & Construction
Using state-of-the-art technology, CG TEC designs, develops and produces innovative components from high-tech materials.
Assembly of components
"Everything from a single source" - according to this principle, we are constantly expanding our know-how.
Carbonscout-Onlineshop
The company behind www.carbonscout.com is a profit center of CG TEC Carbon und Glaserfasertechnik GmbH.
Our portfolio is broad and offers solutions for almost every industry.
From special one-off production to standardized series production.
Tubes & Shafts
We manufacture all CFRP/GFRP/BFRP tubes & shafts using prepreg winding technology. In this process, so-called prepregs (fabrics or scrims pre-impregnated with resin) are wound around metal mandrels in a special process.
Composite cable
Multilayer basalt tube is a new type of composite core that combines a high-performance basalt fiber, high-strength stainless steel tubing, a communication element with an optional polyamide, polyethylene or high-density polyethylene cover.
Rods & Profiles
Our rods and profiles made of carbon, glass and basalt fiber-reinforced plastic are manufactured using pultrusion technology - i.e. extruded. The fiber volume ratio is between 55 and 70% - depending on the type of production.
CG TEC is the market leader in carbon external fixators and flexible reamers. Our CFRP tubes are used in cardiac massage devices, wheelchairs and also in the IO Blind Cane. CFRP milled parts and rotationally symmetrical components are used in MRIs, for example. We work with biocompatible raw materials and in validated processes. The advantages are also X-ray transparency and sterilizability.
Tubes made of fiber-reinforced composites (especially CFRP tubes) are being used more and more frequently in automation and robotics due to their high mechanical properties and low weight. They are suitable both for load-bearing structures in mechanics and for gripper arms of handling systems. Their excellent mechanical properties and low weight make them the optimal choice for applications where speed, precision and efficiency are required.
Carbon and glass fibers are not only setting forward-looking standards in Formula 1. Our high-tech materials can also be used in a very wide range of applications in the field of measurement technology: whether as thermostable instrument carriers or as styli with extremely high rigidity. To make the most of their potential, up-to-date know-how and years of experience are essential. Customers will find both at CG TEC. Round profiles made of high-modulus fibers further improve accuracy. CFRP is stiffer than steel, but significantly lighter.
Glass-fiber-reinforced plastics are resistant to aging and weathering and (depending on the fiber type) are considered chemically resistant. They possess high flexibility as well as enormous strength. In addition, glass fiber reinforced plastics offer the advantage of having an electrically insulating effect. Therefore, our individually designed GFRP tubes and telescopic systems are used in mine detectors or metal detectors.
Unbreakable, lightweight and resistant to aging - this is how equipment in the leisure and sports sector must be. This is now unthinkable without fiber composites. That's why innovative materials revolutionized the market for sporting goods more than 20 years ago.
Reinforcements made of glass, basalt and carbon fiber reinforced plastics offer many advantages over traditional steel reinforcements. Glass, basalt and carbon fibers are lightweight, corrosion resistant and resistant to moisture and chemicals. Carbon fibers offer the highest strength and stiffness. This results in the ability to design lighter precast concrete elements, thus reducing weight. The use of these materials helps make buildings and infrastructure safer and more durable.
CG TEC Carbon und Glasfasertechnik GmbH is one of Bavaria's 20 most family-friendly companies. The company competition "Successful.Family Friendly" honors this commitment and awarded 20 of the most family-friendly companies in Bavaria. The competition is an initiative within the framework of the Bavarian Family Pact and is held regularly by the Bavarian State Ministry of Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy together with the Bavarian State Ministry of Family Affairs, Labor and Social Affairs.
The 20 most family-friendly companies in Bavaria were honored on June 15, 2023 by Bavaria's Minister of Labor Ulrike Scharf and Bavaria's Secretary of State for Economic Affairs Roland Weigert. The aim of the award is to honor family-friendly corporate policies and their positive effects on the image and economic success of companies. We at CG TEC Carbon und Glasfasertechnik GmbH and Carbonscout are very proud to be a prize winner and thus also a role model for family-friendly corporate policy.
The BDS AZUBIAKADEMIE is aimed at all professions in the broader sense, regardless of the year of training. Therefore, any BDS company in the region that provides training and is willing to get involved can take part.
The supplementary lessons are held by entrepreneurs who take turns working with the young people in joint workshops and imparting expertise and knowledge.
The "IHK Innovation Prize for Skilled Workers 2023" goes to CG TEC Carbon und Glasfasertechnik GmbH in Spalt. The award recognises the company's concept, which uses corporate partnerships and apprentice events to provide diverse training for its junior staff. The Spalt-based company is active in fibre composite technology and produces connecting elements made of carbon, basalt and glass fibre.
A few years ago, CG TEC began working with other companies in the region to set up holiday childcare.
The participating companies also offer their apprentices joint training programmes. There is also an "apprentice swap", in which the apprentices get to know each other's companies for one to two weeks per year.
A recent addition is the "Hill Mill Park" event for potential applicants - framed by a colourful programme with attractions such as "ice cream by the pool", competitions and music. They can find out about the many training opportunities offered by the companies at the "Gewerbepark Hügelmühle" in Spalt.
